Formerly known as: Bedingfield Arms and cottages Nos 1 and 2
adjoining WELLINGTON ROAD.
House. Fragment of late C15 house, remodelled late C17 and
reduced in size. Remodelled late C20. Rendered and
colourwashed timber frame on brick plinth. Roof of
black-glazed pantiles. 2 storeys. South front lit through two
late C20 lancets to ground floor. Gabled roof with central
ridge stack. C20 lean-to porch added to south gable. One
2-light late C20 casement to each floor.
INTERIOR: late C15 arched doorway on south side remains,
blocked but complete. C20 staircase and details. Frame with
jowled principal studs formerly with arched braces to tie
beams.
