Home Farm Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. 1830s, contemporary with the planned farmyard to the south. Stone rubble with red sandstone dressings; two span slate roof, gabled at ends with end stacks with brick shafts, one stack retains a sandstone shaft.
Plan: Symmetrical double depth plan, two rooms wide with a central entrance, probably into a stair hall.
Exterior: Two storeys. Symmetrical three bay front with a central C20 front door. Probably original fenestration of three first floor two-light casements, three panes per light, two similar ground floor windows.
Interior: Not inspected but may be of interest.
A granite horse trough adjacent to the right return of the house is dated 1672 with the initials: I T.
Part of a good group with the farmbuildings.
