Estate cottage, one of a row on the north side of the village. Probably C17 or
earlier with C20 alterations. Creamwashed and rendered; thatched roof with plain
ridge; left end stack possibly shared with the Post Office house, adjoining at the
left.
Plan: Not entirely clear as interior not inspected, probably one room on plan in a
single depth block with a rear lean-to.
Exterior: Asymmetrical 1 window front with a C19 or C20 plank front door to the right
with a thatched porch hood. Eaves thatch eyebrowed over the first floor window which
is a 3-light C19 or C20 timber casement with glazing bars, similar ground floor
window to the left of the front door.
Interior: Not inspected but may be of interest. The Post Office House, to the left,
is a least C17 in date.
In the centre of an outstanding, unspoiled estate village of thatched houses.
