Farmhouse. Probably C18 (maybe earlier), extended in the mid - late C19. Local
stone and flint rubble, the older part is plastered, the extension has brick
dressings; stone rubble stack topped with C20 brick; thatch roof.
Plan: 3-room plan farmhouse facing south-east and built down a gentle hillslope.
Uphill at the left (south-west) end is an unheated room, probably built as a dairy
or buttery. The main room in the centre shares a stack with the C19 extension on
the right end. This was probably a parlour extension. 2 storeys.
Exterior: irregular 3-window front of C19 and C20 replacement casements with
glazing bars and most of the first floor windows rise into the thatch. There are 2
front doorways, the main one to the centre room and another to the left room; both
contain C19 plank doors. The roof is hipped both ends.
Interior: was not available for inspection at the time of this survey although C18,
maybe C17, carpentry detail is suspected in the older part.
