3/154 Bridge approximately 10 metres to
south west of Hartland Abbey
GV II
Bridge carrying Abbey drive (to rear Abbey courtyard) over Abbey River. Probably
Cl7 or early C18, replacing an earlier structure. Stone rubble 2 round arches with
triangular cutwater at the centre. Parapet probably rebuilt in C20 with half-
rounded coping. A bridge of similar design is shown in a drawing of Hartland Abbey
of 1707.
