Probably C16 or early C17 with alterations and additions. Stone and cob
walls, plastered. 2 storey. 5 windows, modern casements. Massive projecting
end chimney. 1st floor ceiling conceals earlier higher hewn roof trusses
with curved collars, 20 inch floor boards. Square baluster stair with
column newels. Part of ground floor C18 dado fielded panelling. 2-panel
doors, and wide-boarded doors with wrought hinges on lugs. Circa 1830 enriched
marble mantel. The earlier work forms a long rectangle with small wing
at right angles, east. Added early C19 porch with elongated cast iron
columns.
