C17. This was the original farmhouse (new one dated 1897). White-washed
stone rubble, old slate roof, 2 low storeys. Slate lean-to canopy over
modern door. 5 windows on ground floor and 2 above, mostly 6-paned sashes.
Former barn extends to right under same roof, with arrow slits and garage
door, loft door and stable door. Interior has exposed crucks upstairs.
Was birthplace of Adam Walker, self-taught inventor, philosopher, and friend
of Priestley (oxygen).
