Late C17. 3 storeys with attics; front tile hung; modern slate roof; 2
windows 2nd floor; 2 windows 1st floor, with central doorway opening on
to balcony with good wrought iron railings. Windows with modern sashes,
doorway with shell hood on carved brackets with cartouche sheild by cherubs
and dated 1688. Fine ornamental plaster ceiling to front 1st floor room
dated 1688. Modern shop front. The ceiling is probably by Henry Doogood,
the same room is lined with bolection - moulded panelling. Parapet with
modillion cornice. 1 attic dormer. (RCHM 150).
