Farmhouse, late C15. Timber framed and plastered with some
walls renewed in brick. Red pantile roofs with C19 shaped barge
boards. One storey and attics. Hall and cross-wing plan with
service end to left hand possibly later, C17. Ridge stacks to
both ranges of local red brick possibly late C17 or C18 with
moulded brick string course. Hall range has two casement dormer
windows and three modern ground floor windows, and glazed door;
three casement windows to cross-wing gable. Interior has some
wall posts and tie beams exposed; the floor frame to the hall is
noteworthy and has deeply moulded cyma and roll mouldings with
leaf-stops. Ingelnook hearth with original jambs of clunch and
chamfered mantel beam. Side purlin roof.
