House. C16 core within mainly c.1800 front range. Timber frame, red brick to east end and mainly gault brick. Steeply pitched roof now slated, with tumbled gables and end stacks. T-plan. Two storeys and attic on the front.
Three c.1900 gable dormers with twelve pane wood hung sashes. Nearly symmetrical front facade. Five first floor recessed window openings with sills, originally wood hung sashes, but now with late C20 metal windows. Similar openings to ground floor windows and doorway in C19 brick porch. Rear range is a service wing of c.1800. Gault brick. One storey and attic. There is a late C19 dining room extension in the angle on the east side. The east gable end of the front range is of c.1700 red brick, English bond with contemporary flush chimney stack.
Interior: Parts of three bays remain of the C16 house. Two posts and their associated tie beams are visible. The posts are stop chamfered and have jowled heads and are of substantial scantling similar to that of Mansion Farmhouse, Main Street, Coveney (qv). The ceiling frames at ground and first floor are boxed but are probably original. They have intersecting main beams. The rest of the details are c.1800 including a staircase with stick balusters
