Circa mid C17 astronomical sundial in form of large stone block on moulded
base, almost 6 ft high. The sides have divided rectangular concavities diagonally
set and concave hemispheres. The front has a deep heart-shaped concavity.
The front face of the top is inclined forward and has a divided rectangular
concavity with semi-circular ends.
Erected by Bishop Dove of Peterborough. Illustrated in Bridge "History of
Northants" pp 228 and 229.
