II
Farmhouse. Early to mid C17 with late C19 alterations and addition. Painted
red brick, timber-framed and plastered with C19 brick casing painted. Plain
tiled roofs. Two storeys with an original three unit plan with end unit to
south-west demolished: single storey south-west gable addition. C19
four-panelled door to right hand in lobby entry position approached by stone
steps; two ground floor and two first floor three-light casement windows of
various sizes; casement window to right hand of lower range. Brick casing to
left hand 'bay' with gable end stack; ridge stack to right hand with dentil
brick cornice and rebuilt shaft. The farmhouse was formerly the property of
Barnwell Hospital, Northamptonshire.
