Farmhouse: c. 1830. Flemish bond red brick with some yellow headers.
Welsh slate roof which projects at eaves and verges. 2 gable brick
chimneys. Double-pile plan. 3-storey, symmetrical 3-bay front. End
bays have 3-light wooden casements with panels of small-pane glazing
above, under plastered wedged brick heads and with stone sills.
Simpler 3-light casements in top storey. Late C19 brick porch with
planted timbers in gable, contains 6-panelled door. Similar 2-light
windows above.
Interior: Entry into lobby with well staircase of plain balusters and
curving mahogany handrail. 4-panelled doors and some exposed ceiling
beams.
Stands within well-preserved medieval moat and built to replace a
considerable timber-framed manor house.
