2/9 Brookhouse Farm House

Farmhouse of late C17 origins but early C19 appearance. Whitened
brickwork with roof of old slates laid with diminishing courses. 2
storeys and attic, 3 bays. The 2-storey, 2-bay, rear wing
(north-west) completes an "L" shaped plan. Two-course deep brick
first floor band four-panel bolection-moulded door in frame with
external architraves and mullioned overlight. The door is fronted by
a flat roofed lattice work porch. Mainly 3-light flush casements with
stone sills and stepped brick labels. The boarded back door
(south-west) is on strap hinges. The north-east gable end and rear
wing have early metal casements at first floor and attic level. Gable
end stacks.
Interior: Bevelled beams and exposed ceiling joist, also an inglenook
beam. At first floor level, timber framing in internal walls, exposed
beams. Wide boarded doors on HL or old tee hinges.
