Summerhouse. c. 1841-43. By Edward Blore, coursed sandstone rubble.
Octagonal plan. Two storeys. The summerhouse is sited at an angle in
a raised walkway and the 2 doors at first floor level give onto this
promenade while the doorway to the lower floor occurs in the angle
between the two banks. Trefoil-headed lancet windows to the first
floor, above which is a battlemented parapet. A stone wall which
enclosed the gardens leads off in either direction. It is of c.10' -

and left hand sides of the house (q.v.). An earth bank supporting a
walkway occurs on the inner side and a ditch on the outer side.
