House. Mid/Late C17. Timber framed with whitewashed brick infill and a slate
roof. Two storeys. Entrance front: 12 x 3 cells of small framing with angle
braces at right, left and centre. Late C17 addition at right of 6 x 3 cells
of small framing with curved angle braces. C19 addition at left of brick
painted in simulation of timber framing and another C19 lean-to addition at
far right. Doorway to right of centre of earliest portion with 2-light ground
floor windows to left of this. Two 4-light slightly canted,C19 casement win-
dows to first floor. Right hand gable end has heavily cambered tie-beam with
queen posts above and king post and V-strut to apex. Rear: 12 x 3 cells of
small framing to central portion with some irregularities. Angle braces at
right, left and centre. Scattered C19 fenestration of single and 2-light case-
ment windows.
Interior: Chamfered ceiling beams to ground floor rooms. Two sets of purlins
and wind braces to roof. C19 kitchen range and some hob grates to upstairs
rooms.
