Public House. Early C19, but much earlier core, evidenced by
partially exposed full-cruck construction inside entrance lobby.
Rough rendered and painted. Mid C20 concrete tiled roof; stone
gable coping. 2 stacks (to centre and R.H.S). 2 storeys, 2
bays. Central doorway with timber pilaster-and-entablature
surround; 4-panelled door; and rectangular fanlight. 2-storey
canted late C19 by windows with sashes. Listing includes late
C19 extension to rear (N. side), fronting onto Northgate.
Rendered and painted; 2 storeys; sashes. Other extensions and
outbuildings to N. are not of interest.
