Pair of houses, C16, C18 and later, timber framed and plastered. Complex group
of buildings with single storey range parallel with street, a projecting single
storey block with 2 parallel ridges, a 2 storey block at the E end with gambrel
peg tile roof and 2 storey half hipped peg tile roofed block at rear. The front
single storey block has a peg tile roof abutting the other structures and 2
very tall C18 chimney stacks. A further stack abuts the N end of the E block.
The rear block has white weatherboarding on its E facade. Windows are a mixture
of C20 casements some aluminium. C20 extension on E. end. The interior
of single storey block reveals substantial timber frame, jowled posts and
heavily soot blackened simple collar rafter roof. Included primarily for group
value.
