Farmhouse adjoining former cottage and domestic outbuilding. Circa late C18.
Coursed dressed granite front with granite dressings. Wheat reed thatched roof over
farmhouse, with brick chimneys over the original gable ends - grouted scantle slate
roof over cottage with granite coping with moulded kneeler over the front of the
party wall and brick chimney over the gable end right. Scantle slate roof over
single storey outbuilding.
Plan: 2 room plan farmhouse with cross passage between the wider kitchen/living room
left and parlour, right, and a 1 room plan cottage added circa early C19 on the
right. C19 additions also include a pantry lean-to at rear middle and domestic
service rooms in a single storey range at right angles to the front at far right.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Overall 4 window west front with nearly symmetrical 3 window
front of original farmhouse, left, and 1 window front of former cottage right.
Doorway of farmhouse is central to the fenestration and has a C19 panelled door with
round-headed panels. The cottage has its original 4-panel door within a C20 lean-to
porch. Circa early C19 16-pane sashes to ground floor right of farmhouse and ground
floor of cottage. Other windows are later C19 or C20 horned sashes.
