Farmhouse with attached front wall and railings. Mid C19 with some C20 alterations.
Slatestone and elvan rubble with brick and stone dressings. Slate roof with ridge
tiles, hipped at the left end and with gable end to front right. Axial stacks and
stack to left end with brick shafts, gable end stack to right with stone shaft.
Plan: Overall L-plan. Range to left of 2-room plan, with central entrance through
porch. To right there is one room, heated from a stack to end right, and a front
wing of one-room plan to right, heated from a gable end stack at the front.
Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical front. To left a 3-window range, all windows 16-
pane sashes with cambered brick arches, larger at ground floor. Central porch with
outer half-glazed door with sidelights and hipped roof. 2 bays to right with two 16-
pane sashes at ground and first floor, with cambered stone arches. The front wing to
right has 3-light casement at ground and first floor to right, door to left and 2-
light casement at first floor to left, all with cambered stone arches. Front right
gable end blind. Right side has blind window at ground floor and 2-light casement at
first floor with cambered stone arches. Left end blind. Rear wing to left of one-
room plan, heated from a gable end stack.
Attached to the front of the 3 bays to left, a low C19 stone rubble wall enclosing
the front garden, with slate and stone coping; surmounted by plain wooden railings.
Central pair of square plan piers in ashlar with flat slate tops, about 1½ metres
high.
