Lodge for Workington Hall. Early C19 for the Curwen family. Pebble-dashed
walls with painted stone strings and angle pilasters. Graduated greenslate
roofs (hipped on wings) with rough cast chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays with
flanking single-storey, single-bay wings. C20 panelled door in contemporary
wooden porch under pointed fanlight and fish-scale lead roof. Flanking lancet
windows with glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. Gable quatrefoil.
Similar lancet windows in wings. Lean-to extension to left and rear extension
are not of interest.
