4 cottages now 3 cottages. Early C19 for Mirehouse estate workers. Slate
rubble walls, roughcast front, under graduated greenslate roof with roughcast
chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays each, Nos. 1 & 2 now forming one cottage.
Each cottage has gabled front. Plank doors in round-arched plain openings, that
to No. 1 blocked and a window inserted. Casement windows on ground floor under
Yorkshire sash windows. Rear has Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars in painted
stone surrounds under brick relieving arches. Similar windows above without
arches. Some smaller C20 windows on upper-floor.
