GV II
Garden boundary wall and gates to estate village cottages. Circa 1909.and probably
designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for the Duke of Bedford. Hurdwick stone rubble with
squared stone coping. The wall rises following the incline of the road at the north
end in a series of steps. At the south end it slopes at an angle parallel to the
road. Plain rectangular gate piers to the entrances to no 14 and nos 21 and 22 the
Parade. 3 timber gates, 2 probably replacements have open rails, a curved diagonal
brace and long metal latches. Included for group value.
