Cottage. Late C18, modernised with an extension circa 1970. Main house is
plastered cob and stone rubble; stone rubble or cob stack with plastered brick
chimney shaft; thatch roof, slate to extension.
Originally a 1-room plan cottage facing south with projecting right (east) end
stack. Circa 1970 service extension on right end. Main house is 2 storeys,
extension is single storeyed.
3-window front of circa 1970 casements with glazing bars and contemporary door at
left end. The eaves are unusually deep but break back above the windows giving the
impression of eyebrows. The steeply-pitched roof is hipped each end. The C20
extension has 2 windows with glazing bars and a door next to the house. Its roof is
gable-ended.
Interior: the cottage has a crossbeam with a roughly-chamfered soffit. The oak
lintel of the large rubble fireplace has a similar finish. Roof not inspected.
