Dr Charles Sloper Monument and railings in the churchyard, immediately east of chancel of Church of St Mary

Table-tomb with surrounding railings, 1727. Stone, railings in wrought iron.
Tomb has panelled sides and heavy round moulded sides. Railings have fluted
columnar corner posts, scroll-work and urn finials. Dr Sloper financed the C18
rebuilding of the church. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.III; p.58, no.1. )
