6/40 Oakford Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed rubble walls with slate roof
with gable-ends, and 3 renewed brick stacks. Cross passage plan with stack
backing on to cross passage. Two storeys, 4-5 window range, ground floor,
2 stone mullions with straight chamfers of 5 and 4 lights, and continuous
hood-mould over. Rest, wooden casements of 3 lights, with concrete cills and
modern segmental brick arch-heads over. Plan front door. Out shut at rear
with catslide slate roof, C19, and lower slate roof at right hand.
