Slough Farmhouse

GV II

Detached Farmhouse. Dated 1855 on north porch. Rubble-stone
walls with ashlar stone quoins and chamfered stone plinth.
Hipped slate roof, with boxed eaves. Cluster of 4 rendered
stacks, set diagonally on ridge, right of centre. Two
storeys. 4 windows, ground floor: 3-light straight-chamfered
stone mullions with quirked surrounds, two-light mullions
(same design), above. Full complement cast-iron casements
with lozenge-pattern of iron glazing-bars. Separate labels
over all windows. Porch, at right hand end of north wall.
Rubble-stone with ashlar quoins. Slate roof with stone gable-
coping and moulded kneelers, moulded apex-block and squashed
ball-finial. Four-centred archway, dated on lintel, separate
label over. Inner doorway has same surround and head. C19
original 6 flush-panelled door. Rear of house has original
outhouse of one storey with pentice slate roof, 3-light case-
ment, same as north front. Back doorway same as front.
