Large house now 2 dwellings. Late C17 with mid C19 alterations and rear
additions. Rendered and painted masonry. Roof of large Welsh slates. Rebuilt
grey brick chimneys. Double-depth plan, under 2-span roof, with rear service
wing to left.

Front has 2 storeys plus attic and 7 irregular bays. Renewed 4-panel door in
raised stone surround with chamfered arrises, horizontal cyma recta moulding
and triangular stone hood. Late C20 top-hung casements to ground floor have
flush rock-faced lintels and projecting sills. 5 identical windows and 4 half
dormers above. Roof has coped gables, small shaped kneelers and end chimneys.
Right return of rear range has external stack. Left return has small, first-
floor lancet to front range and mid C19 pointed 3-light, former chapel window
under hoodmould to rear. 2-storey, former service wing has late C20 fenestration.

Interior. Entrance hall has 4- and 8-panel doors in moulded surrounds. Flanking
gruund-floor rooms have exposed ceiling beams of heavy scantling. Late C17
open-well, closed-string staircase has turned balusters, square newels and a
square-section, moulded handrail.
