Large farmhouse. Dated 1697, above front doorway, with later alterations.
Limestone rubble, renewed Welsh slate roofs and rebuilt brick stacks. T-plan
with central stair wing to rear. 3-storey front has scattered fenestration
and gabled wing to left which projects to front and rear. Central doorway,
in C20 glazed gabled porch, has date 1697 and initials RIB (now hidden by
panelling). Small oval window, in moulded rectangular surround, above porch.
Late C20 top-hung casements and boarded opening to right below eaves. Blocked
2-light mullioned window set high in right return of gabled wing. Steeply-
pitched roof has raised verges with moulded copings and shaped kneelers. Main
block has 2 ridge chimneys. Rear has mainly scattered C20 casements and 2
gabled wings with moulded copings, shaped kneelers and truncated finials.
Modernised interior retains late C17-early C18 open-well stair of 6 flights
and 2 landings with full-height newels, closed string, moulded handrail and
turned balusters.
C20 additions to left return and rear not of special interest.
