of The Banks

Barn, probably later C18. Squared rubble with roughly-shaped dressings;
graduated stone slate roof. South elevation 2 tall storeys, 5 bays. Stable
door in irregular surround of large blocks near right end; central pitching
door, now glazed, in similar surround, flanked by tall slit vents. Coped
gables. Right return shows small ground-floor window, 2 tall slit vents and
arched opening for pigeons, now glazed, above alighting shelf in gable. Rear
elevation shows boarded double doors in central segmental arch, with tall slit
vents above.

Attached farmhouse, remodelled in later C19, is not of special interest.
