Water trough, probably not in original position. Dated 1771, with initials DB
surmounted by coronet and a ram, the Bedford crest. Lead. Rectangular,
standing under 1 metre high and approximately 2 metres wide. Moulded
decoration of geometrical panels, with variety of decorative motifs. Latter
include St George and the dragon, paterae, thistles, scallop shells, winged
putti and griffins. Forms a pair with item 10/171, and whilst not
identical has some of the same decorative motifs.
