and Central Steps, 25 yards west
G.V. of Little Sodbury Manor

II

Two pairs of retaining walls and central steps. Early C16, remodelled and
restored. Rubble walls 5 to 8 feet high; central flights of steps with coped
rubble walls. The upper wall retains the terrace and the lower one retains a
bowling green said to have been used during a visit of Henry VIII. Return walls
at south ends, for 10 yards.
