Early-mid C17. Main elevation faces west. Rendered with freestone dressings and
quoins. Cotswold stone slate roof with coped verges. Paired diagonal stacks. Two
storeys and attics. Three bays: outer Cotswold gables with ball finials; central
advanced 2-storey tower porch. Leaded casement windows with reserved chamfered
mullions: 3-lights in attics;
4-lights on ground and first floor with king mullions, under dripmoulds with returns;
all under large relieving arches. Porch has 2-light, mullioned, casement window;
ovolo moulded square headed door-frame, plank door with strap hinges.
North elevation: 2 gables; remains of lead downpipe with repousse masks and cherubs;
depressed arch headed door under flat stone hood on brackets.
Interior: Substantially intact. Tie-beam and collar trusses.
Central pasage with hall to left, parlour to right, kitchen to north-east wing and
former dairy to south-east wing. Large stair turret between rear wings - with newel
stair.
A good example of the period consistent in all its details particularly moulded Tudor
arch fireplaces, moulded door surrounds, the use of ogee and unusual hollow-convex
mouldings and decorative iron catches on the attic windows.
