Dry arch or portal to a tunnel under the A36. 1834 for Black Dog Turnpike Trust.
Ashlar. The west portal is a tall Gothic style, pointed arch of 3 orders with
a hollow-step-hollow moulding and under a hoodmould. Flanking abutment walls.
The design was based on the west door of the Chapter House of Hinton Priory (q.v.).
