SP 82 NE SOULBURY GRAND UNION CANAL

3/46 Three Locks Cottage

GV II

House, formerly lock-keeper's cottage. Early-mid C19, altered and
dated 1906. Whitewashed roughcast, dentil brick eaves, hipped slate
roof, whitewashed brick chimney between right bays. 2 storeys and
basement. 3 bays. Ground floor has paired barred wooden casement
to left, canted bay window to centre, and barred sash to right with
ornamental blind box. Right-hand windows have shutters with
pierced heart motifs. First floor has 2 barred horizontal sliding
sashes in right bays. 4-panelled door with segmental head and
lean-to timber porch between right bays. Door to basement in right end
wall.
