Large house beside the River Thames, now 2 houses. 1920 by M H Baillie Scott and Beresford, in the
Tudor style. Timber frame with painted render infill. Old tile hipped roof. L-plan with 3 hipped
projections on south. 2 storeys and attics. Large central chimney. Leaded casement windows.
River (north) front: irregular. Small panel timber framing. One-bay section at each end
oversails ground floor; 4-light window on first floor, 4-light french window on ground floor on
left section; two, 2-light winds on ground floor of right hand section. Centre section: 2
oriel winds with 4-light windows on first floor. A full height canted bay window with 5-lights
to right of left oriel; 2-light window on left of right oriel. Ground floor has garden door to
right of bay window and a long 5-light window to right of this. Entrance (south) front: brick
ground floor. Projecting entrance porch on left with hipped roof and timber-framed first floor
with 3-light window. Further hipped-roof section slightly recessed from porch with 3-light window
on first floor. To the right of this is another similar hipped-roof section with smaller window
and a projecting brick portion with half-hipped roof projecting over tall bay window.
