House. C16-C17 L-plan building with C19 extensions in angle and to N.W.,
and large C20 extension to S.W. Old part has timber frame with brick infill,
the ground floor and S.E. gable rebuilt in brick. Remainder brick, C20
part with some half-timbering. Tiled roofs, brick chimneys. Rear of main
C16-C17 wing has large cruciform chimney of thin brick, rebuilt. 2 storeys
and attic, 3 gabled bays to S.E. Irregular C20 barred wooden casements.
Right bay has flanking brick pilasters, worn stone inscription tablet
below attic window, and fire insurance plaque. Centre bay is C19 and has
C20 door in C20 gabled porch. Left bay is C20. Rear wing of original
building is only of 16 storeys and has lean-to to rear. Interior has
been much altered with some old timbers inserted. On moated site.
