House, now shop and offices. Late C18 altered mid C20. No.24 probably
dates from c1600. Part timber framed encased in brick, part brick, part
brick painted; slate gabled roof. 3 storeys, cellar in No.24. Flank
chimney on right. 3 bay front. Centre bay blocked, left bay sash
windows in architrave frames with glazing bars and painted brickwork;
right bay glazing altered in top floor sash, tripartite sash with
glazing bars on first floor under segmental brick head. Ground floor
has C20 shopfront on right of no special interest, and a C19 shopfront
on left, restored late C20. Interior:- No.24 has cellar with some
conglomerate, and some remaining timber frame visible on upper floors.
