Milepost. 1840. Cast-iron classical-style pillar with low
pedimented capping and plinth, raised lettering to front;
SALISBURY/6/WARMINSTER/15. One of a series of cast-iron mileposts
made by Carson and Miller, a firm of Warminster ironfounders, for
turnpikes radiating from Warminster.
