Cottage, probably 2 cottages originally. Late C17. Plastered cob on rubble
footings; stone rubble or cob stack topped with C19 and C20 brick; thatch roof.
The cottage faces west and now has a 2-room plan with axial stack between. The
larger right room however may well derive from an original 2-room cottage and the
left room a separate 1-room plan cottages. 2 storeys.
Overall irregular 3-window front of C19 and C20 casements with glazing bars. The
central first floor window has a thatched gable over. Both doors (one to each of
putative cottages) are very old, possibly late C17; they are plank doors with strap
hinges. The right door has a C20 buttress alongside. The roof is half-hipped to
left and is continuous with adjoining Sachristan Cottage (q.v.) to right. Rear
elevation includes an original oak 2-light window frame with chamfered mullion on
the first floor near the south end.
Interior not available for inspection at time of survey.
