House, formerly a farmhouse. Early C17 with C19 additions. Timber-framed and
roughcast rendered with some exposed ground floor timber-frame; plastered
plinth. Thatched and slated roofs. Limestone rubble ridge stack rebuilt in
gault brick. Two storeys, three unit plan. Two ground floor casement
windows, and rectangular-planned bay window to right hand of four-panelled
door. Interior: Exposed timber-frame, stop-chamfered ceiling beams, open
hearths with mantel beam. C19 details. Brick barn to left hand with slated
roof and dentil brick eaves cornice continued around house extension of one
bay to right hand. Segmental brick arch with cast iron plaque dated 1857 and
double boarded doors; double coach house doors to right hand with casement
window above; first floor oriel window to extension with horizontal sliding
sash windows below.
