carriage house at
30.11.66 Hackthorn Hall

Stable block and carriage house, now used as garaging and
offices. Mid Cl9 with C20 alterations. Yellow brick, with
coursed squared limestone used to churchyard side. Part hipped
slate roofs with single brick ridge stack. L-plan forming 2
sides of rear courtyard with house. 2 storey with 7 and 4 bay
wings. An elliptical carriage arch links the 2 wings. To the
right are 2 C20 planked double garaqe doors and a single light, 2
glazing bar sashes and a planked door. In the wing to the left
are 2 glazing bar sashes and 2 planked doors. To first floor
are 3 small sash openings to eaves. All glazing bar sashes have
segmental heads. Listed for group value only.
