Village Wheel Pump south side of Head Street near junction of Fish Street

Wheel pump. C19. Cast iron. A 6 spoked flanged wheel, with handle and balance
at opposite sides. The pumping mechanism in a locked iron cover with
semi-circular head. To the right is a raised semi-circular stone dais known at
one time at The Pug Stone, whilst the plain tubular pump head with high and low
spouts is to the left. A very unusual survival and of interest in the village
square.
