Hudson's Great North of England Railway. Rubble, with ashlar dressings,
Welsh slate roof. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys, 1:1 first-floor windows.
Plinth. Quoins. Left bay: ground floor, from left: doorway, now glazed,
with quoined triangular-headed surround; 2-light mullion window. First
floor: 2-light mullion window. Right bay, breaking forward: 4-light mullion
window with king mullion on ground floor; 2-light mullion window on first
floor in gable, with blocked vent above. Matching doorway, also now glazed,
on left return of right-hand bay. Octagonal stacks in centre of both roof
ridges. Included for group value as one of an important surviving group of railway
buildings.
