10.9.54 Long Hill End Farmhouse

Farmhouse, 1699. Slobbered squared rubble with stone slate roof. Two storeys, 2-unit
plan. Double chamfered stone mullion windows throughout. Those to ground floor, with
linked hoodmoulds, are of 6 lights with double central mullion, and 4 lights. Above
they are of 2, 4 and 4 lights. At left hand end is an enclosed porch with kneelers
and a chamfered doorway with triangular head. Over this are "IS IF 1699" carved on
the lintel, and a panel inscribed "DHV 1892". Coping and kneelers to gable and 2
chimneys.
The former barn to right has been renovated in imitation of the house and is not
included in the item.
