Parish Boundary stone. Late C18 - early C19. Slate slab approximately 50
cm high and 40 cm wide. Basket arched top. Inscribed "ARNCLIFFE" in
deeply incised lettering with exagerated serifs. Adjoins boundary stone in
Stainforth (q.v.). The parish of Arncliffe included the townships of
Arncliffe, Buckden, Halton Gill, Hawkswick and Litton in the late C18.
