The Town Clerk's Cottage
GV II
House, formerly of town clerk. Mid C18. Plastered and
whitewashed timber frame on tarred brick plinth. Slate roof
with some black-glazed pantiles. 2 storeys. Gable-end faces
street. 6-panelled and fielded door within doorcase with
fluted pilasters. One 3-light late C20 casement to right and a
similar 2-light casement to first floor. Hipped roof with
ridge stack. South return has two 2-light casements and one
C18 sliding casement to each floor, with glazing bars.
INTERIOR: not inspected. Part of a good group in Lambseth
Street. Included for group value
