Late C18. A handsome house. 3 storeys in brick and rendered basement.
1-3-1 wide spaced sash windows. Central slight projection under pediment
with round window. Stone quoins, window surrounds, doorway, cill bands,
plinth and dentilled cornice. Additional band over ground floor. Ground
floor vdndows with square block rustications and triple keystones, cill
brackets. Central pedimented Doric columned porch with narrow sashes at
side set back under continued entablature, with mutules and guttae. Door
of 6 fielded panels with steps up. 1st floor windows with eaved architraves
and cill consoles. Segmental dentilled pediment on consoles and brick apron
to central window, 2nd floor windows with stone architraves. Interior:-
Good original well staircase and secondary staircase. Chapel across front
of 1st floor with panelling and 2 mantelpieces. Small room on ground floor
with fine bowed wood Venetian window with Corinthian columns. Decoration
of front left hand room sold after War and now gone. Contemporary doors
and cases.
