Summerhouse in grounds of Millstone Lodge (formerly listed as the Summer House of Hillam Hall)

Former summer house to Hillam Hall, now disused. Early-mid C19. Sandstone
ashlar with corrugated iron roof. Square on plan. Single storey, single
bay. Buttresses to angles surmounted by pinnacles. Pointed doorway with
slender colonnettes and roll-moulded head under hoodmould. Late C20 stable
door partly obscures this. Incised cross in gable. Crenellations and
pinnacle. Lancet windows to sides, 3-light lancet to rear with scant
remains of stained glass. Interior: remains of Gothic panelling.
