Threshing barn with granary over, flanked by ranges of stables, byres, cart-
sheds and carriage-shed. Late C18 barn; other buildings early C19. Coursed
sandstone rubble with herringbone-tooled quoins; pantile roofs. Round 3
sides of yard. Barn: 2-storey, 5-bay front, with quoins. Plank doors to
left and right of centre, the right now blocked to lower half. Shuttered
square pitching holes to left and centre of loft. Similar hole to right
altered to form door with bordered, tooled lintel approached by stone steps.
Remaining openings have flat arches. Coped gables and shaped kneeler.
Interior: double threshing floor barn with braced king-post roof trusses.
Stable range to left: 1½ storeys, gable end on street, with quoins. Square
openings with stone sills to ground floor and loft. Quoined, coped gable
and plain kneeler. Carriage-shed range to right: 1½ storeys, gable end on
street, with quoins. Quoined carriage opening, with segmental arch of
voussoirs and keystone. Quoined square pitching hole above with stone sill
and wedge lintel. Quoined, coped gable with plain kneelers.
